Who we are
Matchday48 ("we", "us") is a free trip-planning guide for fans travelling to the 2026 World Cup across the USA, Canada and Mexico. You can reach us at hello@matchday48.com.
Matchday48 is built in collaboration with IsTheFootballOn.
What we collect
We do not require accounts and we never collect payment details. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to give us:
- Your email address, when you request a free PDF trip guide.
- Optionally, which other teams you follow, so we can send you relevant updates.
- Standard technical data your browser sends to any website (for example IP address and device type), used by our hosting provider to serve the site.
How we use your email
We use your email address to deliver the guide you asked for and to send occasional, relevant updates — for example when playoff-path guides are published in March 2026, or when fixtures firm up during the tournament. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Our email is sent and stored by EmailOctopus, which acts as our processor. We tag subscribers by team and scenario so the updates you receive are relevant.
Advertising
Matchday48 does not run third-party ad networks and sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We keep the site free through affiliate links instead, as described below.
The product recommendations you see, including the Amazon banners, are affiliate links — not paid third-party ad placements.
Affiliate links
Some links on Matchday48 are affiliate links, including Amazon Associate links. When you click one, the destination site may set its own cookies. We only ever recommend gear we would pack ourselves. See our Affiliate Disclosure for detail.
Cookies and retention
If you complete the guide download form, we store a first-party cookie for 90 days so you do not have to re-enter your email on return visits. We keep your email on our list until you unsubscribe. Any cookies set after you click an affiliate link are governed by the destination site.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@matchday48.com or use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails.
Children
Matchday48 is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version date is shown in the site footer.
